The wedge of the traction clamp (drawing number 106.00.002-2) is a hinge joint of the CA 3 automatic coupler and the traction clamp. The CA-3 automatic coupler is connected with its shank to the traction clamp by means of a wedge of the traction clamp, which is inserted from below and rests on two bolts secured with a lock washer and a nut.
